Garth Michael McDermott: Hear Music

Sorry, Your Majesty (Building The Bricks)

(Garth Michael McDermott)

"I just pass by your throne cause it's on my way home..."

I don't know how we landed here, but we must have touched down
Were we on a course to disappear?  Or just starting that now?
Well you're not on the fence when you find more of these things don't make sense
I just pass by your throne cause it's on my way home...

I'm sorry then, your majesty
I'll always be just the one who let you down
I've been faithfully designed to dream, but wasn't built to share your crown
So what's the point now?

Did I stumble on what came and went?  Or did I mean to let go?
Did I think I couldn't start again? Or did I already know?
I'm only sure that I guess, but I don't see it as a sign of weakness
Cause I think that I know when it's time to go home

I'm sorry then, your majesty
I'll always be just the one who let you down
I've been faithfully designed to dream, but wasn't built to share your crown
So what's the point now?

I wish you wanted me more than what you needed me for...

I'm sorry then, your majesty
You'll always be just the one who let me down
I'd be carefully aligned to flee before I'd ever be your clown
So what's the point now?
